Katherine Nemec is a vocalist, singer-songwriter, and dynamic performer whose sound moves fluidly between pop, folk, and rock. With a voice that cuts through the noise and lyrics that lean into honesty, her music blends raw emotion with polished artistry.
2024 marked a milestone year in Katherine’s career. She took on the starring role of Judy in 9 to 5: The Musical in a major collaboration with the Thunder Bay Symphony Orchestra, followed by her orchestral solo debut with the TBSO as part of their Northern Lights series. That same year, she released her debut EP Glow, introducing listeners to her distinctive blend of vulnerability and edge.
In 2025, Katherine continued to build momentum—headlining her own concert on Magnus Theatre’s outdoor stage as part of the UnSeen UnHeard UnCurated series and performing Live On The Waterfront for the city’s Summer Send-Off celebration.
For Katherine, music is an extension of self—an outlet for the thoughts she’d never dare say out loud. In a world where being perceived feels like a risk, she turns vulnerability into art, crafting songs that resonate with anyone who has ever felt too much and said too little.
Candid and unapologetically herself, Katherine continues to carve out a space in the Northern Ontario music scene with a voice and perspective that are unmistakably her own.
